The Penthouse Studios offers a masterfully equipped recording studio, teaching, performance and creative space where local and touring/travelling artists in the community and beyond can go from incubator and creative stage to testing, development and recording/production stage. Each room has a piano for your use and exploration.
Learn
A blend of private lessons, clinics, mixers and examinations, our studio is designed to support you musical journey while entering around your goals. Our thoughtful instructors will provide tailored, practical and impactful learning experience. Set in a performance-centred venue, you get the value of putting to practice, what you learn on an ongoing basis at a great price.
Perform Live
Our beautifully designed, intimate space with a touch of vintage African artistry, inspired by the true essence of the African Heritage and Culture - Community. The Penthouse Cafè is open to book launches, live music events, festivals, theatre, art exhibitions, photo sessions and more. Equipped with a solid mahogany 6-foot piano, your event just got rated!
Perpie - Nigerian-Canadian artist and Curator.
Raised by her single mother and the community around her. Family and community is the inspiration behind the Penthouse Cafe.
She writes from the point of view of grace, bringing a new perspective and incisive wit to her tales of love, community and her faith. With a soothing tone and voice, self-trained and evolving, and a rich backing band, she combines a elements of cultural artistic practices with jazz and uplifting storytelling.
Her debut album - Ije Awele (July 2023) with over 150k Streams is available now.
